Art for the Living Room

Things are slow moving in the living room, but I had an epiphany last night about something that's been bothering me...

...the big blank space above my sofa!

I've been searching non stop for the right piece, but it's been sooooo haaaaard finding something that 1. I actually like 2. I like enough to hang in my house 3. is square 4. will fit in with the rest of the art 5. relates to the hubs and me 6. will give off the vibe that cool, artsy, forward-thinking people live here! That's not too much to ask, is it?

I have come across several pieces that fit most of the criteria, but not all. Here are some that I found, but either, can't afford, isn't the right shape, or am not brave enough to hang for all of my visitors to see.

Although, all of the above are too expensive or not the right shape, I was doing pretty well on the cool content. So, as I said earlier, I had an epiphany...and came up with these.

  3. I love #2 because it brings out a cool, sensual nature that I have definitely witnessed between you and your hubs. Second choice is #4... It's practical but cool at the same time.
