I'm back...and WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!!

It's been quite some time since I've logged into cyber space to rant my randomness, but today brings about good reason. After renting for over 4 1/2 years, we've finally put down roots in the Memphis metro area and bought our first home!

Our entire buying experience couldn't have gone any smoother. The sellers were amazingly sweet people that had to relocate for a military reassignment, so they were pretty eager to sell. Not only that, they were super sweet and left small tokens of kindness in the house throughout the process. On inspection day, there was a coffee/tea bar set up in the kitchen with a lovely note to help ourselves. Upon closing, they left all of the existing paint in the garage, labeled for what room and surface they were used for. They left all of the documents and contracts for any servicing they had done to the house. They left proof of purchase documents for appliances. They left the instruction manuals for the security system. They had even found (and left) the original floor plans to the house! The wife left us a sweet, congratulatory note, saying that she hoped we loved the house as much as they did and giving us a run down on the awesome neighbors that we'd inherited.

But without further ado, here are a few pics from the listing!

So, you know what this means....I'm back to blogging!!! I have no idea how often you'll see posts over here, but be sure to subscribe so that you don't miss a thing! The sellers only upgraded the flooring throughout the home, so there are a LOT of original elements that will need upgrading! I'm talking drywall, new bathrooms, updated kitchen, new closets, and, of course, lots of (new) pretty rugs and furniture! This is going to be a long process to stick around and stay a while!

Feels good to be back!
